Time series of Wave and Water Level of the station Büsum are displayed on this page. The wave and level measuring station is called LOG_aLevel because it measures the wave contours (even single very steep waves) by means of ultrasonic sensor technology in a resolution of a millimetre range. The system in Büsum is installed at the head of a breakwater in front of the harbour entrance.
The uppermost figure shows mean, maximum and minimum water levels as integrated values over a minute. The lower figure illustrates the high-frequency wave information of the last few minutes.
